What's a typical taper schedule for Ozempic?

A common Ozempic taper looks like this. Hold your current dose for two to four weeks while you write your maintenance plan. Step down one increment and hold for three to four weeks. Step down again. Continue until you reach 0.25 milligrams weekly, hold for three to four weeks, then stop. The standard Ozempic doses are 2.0, 1.0, 0.5, and 0.25 milligrams weekly. Some prescribers skip steps you were never titrated through, others extend each step if hunger climbs faster than expected. The whole process takes most people two to four months. Wegovy and Mounjaro use different dose ranges and step the same way. This is a pattern from real-world practice, not a clinical guideline. Treat it as a starting point for the conversation with your prescriber, not a plan.

Track the patterns. Hold the loss.
