What's a typical taper schedule for Ozempic?

A common pattern looks like this. Hold your current dose for a few weeks while you write your maintenance plan. Step down one increment and hold for three to four weeks. Step down again, and continue toward 0.25 milligrams weekly, hold, then stop. The standard Ozempic doses are 2.0, 1.0, 0.5, and 0.25 milligrams weekly. Some prescribers skip steps you were never titrated through; others extend a step if hunger climbs faster than expected. The whole process takes most people roughly two to four months. Wegovy and Mounjaro use different dose ranges and step down the same way. This is a pattern drawn from real-world practice, not a clinical guideline. Treat it as a starting point for the conversation with your prescriber, not a plan. Not medical advice.

Track the patterns. Hold the loss.
